artist herself. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas; Katherine graduated from Vanderbilt Univ. in 1986.
From early on, after a few jewelry classes Katherine knew she wanted to pursue a career in jewelry
design.  Married in 1989, she and her husband lived in Dallas, San Diego, and Austin but finally followed
their dream and moved to Sarasota, Florida in the summer of 2003 with their 2 ½ year old son.
Katherine designs and hand fabricates all of her pieces in her home studio. Each of her pieces is fashioned
in sterling silver with 14K gold accents and is set with a dazzling and colorful assortment of semi-
precious stones. The delicate mixture of talent, care and skill with which each of her pieces is crafted,
distinctively sets her jewelry apart from all others. Whether you see a Katherine Kaya original displayed
in a gallery representing her, at an art show, or adorning one of her many clients, the charismatic appeal
